ปีกใหม่ในฤดูแห่งการรอคอย
มีหญิงสาวคนหนึ่งชื่อสุภาพร เธอรอคอยการรักษาจากโรคร้ายมานานกว่าหนึ่งปี แต่ละวันที่ผ่านไปดูเหมือนจะหนักขึ้น ร่างกายอ่อนเพลีย ใจเริ่มท้อแท้ เธอถามพระเจ้าว่า “พระองค์ลืมฉันแล้วหรือ?”
วันหนึ่งขณะนั่งอธิษฐานด้วยน้ำตา เธอเปิดพระคัมภีร์และพบกับข้อความในอิสยาห์ 40 ซึ่งกล่าวว่า
“แต่บรรดาผู้ที่รอคอยพระยาห์เวห์จะเพิ่มกำลังใหม่ เขาทั้งหลายจะบินขึ้นด้วยปีกเหมือนนกอินทรี เขาจะวิ่งและไม่เหนื่อย เขาจะเดินและไม่อ่อนแรง”
อิสยาห์ 40:31 (ฉบับ 1971)
ถ้อยคำนั้นเหมือนแสงสว่างที่ส่องเข้ามาในความมืด สุภาพร้องไห้อีกครั้ง แต่คราวนี้ไม่ใช่ด้วยความสิ้นหวัง หากด้วยความรู้สึกว่าพระเจ้าทรงเห็น ทรงได้ยิน และทรงอยู่ข้างเธอตลอดเวลา
เธอเริ่มเข้าใจว่า “การรอคอย” ในพระคัมภีร์ไม่ใช่การนั่งเฉยๆ แต่เป็นการ “วางใจอย่างมีความหวัง” — เหมือนนกอินทรีที่กางปีกรับลม รู้ว่าลมจะพามันขึ้นสูง แม้ในขณะที่ยังยืนอยู่บนโขดหิน
สองเดือนต่อมา แพทย์แจ้งว่าอาการของเธอดีขึ้นอย่างน่าอัศจรรย์ แต่สิ่งที่เธอได้รับในช่วงรอคอยนั้นล้ำค่ากว่าการรักษา นั่นคือ ความสัมพันธ์ที่ลึกซึ้งขึ้นกับพระเจ้า และความเชื่อที่ผ่านการทดสอบแล้ว
🌿 บทเรียนสำหรับวันนี้
บางครั้งพระเจ้าไม่ได้เปลี่ยนสถานการณ์รอบข้างเรา แต่พระองค์ทรงเปลี่ยนเราจากภายใน การรอคอยในพระองค์ไม่ใช่ความอ่อนแอ หากเป็นความกล้าหาญในรูปแบบที่ลึกที่สุด

New Wings in a Season of Waiting
There was a young woman named Sophie who had been waiting for healing from a serious illness for over a year. Each passing day felt heavier than the last — her body worn out, her heart beginning to grow weary. She cried out to God, “Have You forgotten me?”
One evening, while praying through her tears, she opened her Bible and found these words in Isaiah 40:
“Yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.”
Isaiah 40:31 (NASB, 1971)
Those words were like light breaking into darkness. Sophie wept again — but this time, not from despair. This time, she wept because she felt seen. She felt heard. She knew, in the deepest part of her heart, that God had been with her all along.
She began to understand that “waiting on the LORD” in Scripture does not mean passive resignation. It means active, hope-filled trust — like an eagle spreading its wings to catch the wind, knowing the wind will carry it high, even while it still stands on the rock.
Two months later, her doctors reported remarkable improvement. But what she had received during the waiting was worth more than the healing itself — a deeper relationship with God, and a faith that had been tested and proven true.
🌿 Reflection for Today
Sometimes God does not change our circumstances. He changes us from within. Waiting on Him is not weakness — it is courage in its deepest form.
